About GCZSC:

The Global Critical Zone Science Chair (GCZSC) aligns itself with UM6Ps emphasis on research and innovation.

The primary objective of the Chair is to support UM6P in achieving the goals set out in the Feeding and Greening Africa roadmap. Our actions aim to:

  1. Generate scientific impact through high-level publications, seminars, and conferences.
  2. Create economic impact through technology generation and transfer.
  3. Deliver educational impact by providing cutting-edge pedagogy, technologies, and techniques.
  4. Foster social impact by delivering green solutions that will generate jobs and opportunities for businesses.

Job Summary :

  • A one-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.

Missions and responsibilities :

  • Support the organization of internal seminars and scientific events, including logistical assistance, preparation of materials and follow-up.
  • Contribute to the overall cohesion of the Chairs activities, by helping structure and disseminate information related to the Critical Zone and ongoing projects.
  • Produce engaging content for internal (newsletters, reports) and external (social media, website) audiences, ensuring consistency and alignment with the GCZSCs mission.
  • Multichannel content production: writing, visual design, capturing and editing short videos, and optimizing each piece of content for its target channel.


Profil recherché :

Required profile:

  • Masters/Engineering degree in communication, Marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in a similar position.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English, with the confidence to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent writing skills with the proven ability to produce high-performing content across various formats for different audiences
  • Knowledge & experience of software such as Adobe Suite and Canva.
