Poste :
Main responsibilities:
• Ensuring the fulfilment of the mission, respecting the values of the culture of the Company, guaranteeing the assimilation and the unfolding of the absolute principles of Excellence.
• Supporting the implementation of the lean projects in the customs/logistics area: different tools, methods to drive improvements. Application of these concepts in the plants.
• Monitoring that all the changes in network/value streams are communicated locally to all involved entities in the process.
• Following of all the problems involving the customs brokers and the plants.
• Aligning with Finance department in the plant, make the control of the customs costs in comparison with the forecast and budget.
• Responsibility for providing Yazaki’s European Union regulatory compliance to the organization.
• Lead point of contact with Customs Brokers providing guidance on customs clearance, documentation and origin of goods
• Developing, maintaining and updating Yazaki Customs Compliance SOPs applicable for the region.
• Working with team members in the different countries in Yazaki EMEA and serve as the SPOC for regulatory compliance with Yazaki North and Central America and Yazaki Europe.
• Managing export control and ensuring compliance of logistical processes with internal and external rules.
• Leading official customs audits, investigations and export controls for different countries.
• Close cooperation with customs authority and building relationships with them.
• Contact person for plants and Customer Service Center (CSCs) on import-export related issues.
• Staying up to date with current laws and regulations, provide advice to different business units, assess impact and provide recommendations (i.e. Brexit, POD, centralized warehouses, etc.)
• Developing, implementing and maintaining HTS Update Process, working with our Global Center of Excellence, providing advice on correct tariff codes for the region harmonizing them across all plants and CSCs:
• Review of current classification methods
• Develop improvement plan and implement
• Develop maintenance plan and electronic processing
• Developing and maintaining work-flow processes within the CMS (Customs Data Management System).
Profil recherché :
Profile:
• Level of studies: Engineering or master's degree in international business, Economics, Logistics or equivalent.
• Experience: 4 years of experience in import & export / customs in logistics environment, ideally in the automotive sector or in a global trade compliance consulting firm. Generic logistics knowledge on transportation, packaging, warehousing and distribution
• Languages: Fluent in English & French
• Hard skill: Knowledge of MS Office package
Competencies/Skills/Strengths:
• Strong time management with setting the right priorities.
• Focus on total logistics cost reduction on macro and plant level.
• Strong use of MS Excel, MS Access to manipulate complex data, develop of queries and macros to efficiently review and assess compliance activities.
• To establish, assist and support the Lean Logistics Management process for Yazaki.
• Analytical skills to allow review current logistics cost structure under consideration of all central defined aspects like e.g. routings, inventory, customs and duties.
• Implementation of defined and agreed improvement initiatives.
• Ability to make decisions and take responsibility (after training is completed).
• Work independently on defined visions and goals.
• Mature and fast learning personality.
• Willingness to grow within the company.
• Team player.
• Profound knowledge of customs legislation and logistics processes.
• Business fluent in English and French (verbal and written), other languages is a plus.
• SAP / other ERP skills is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Financial/accounting experience will be a benefit.
• Technical knowledge of Customs Regulations and Trade Program Requirements; Familiar with Export / Import processes.
• Expertise of Trade Compliance is desired.
