Job Description :

The MSN department (Materials Science, Energy, and nano-Engineering:https://msn.um6p.ma/#about) is a research and training structure within UM6P.

As part of its applied research and innovation activities, the department is recruiting a mechanical engineer specialized in mechanical design, rapid prototyping, and system integration to join the Sustainable Materials and Recycling research group for a 12-month period (renewable fixed-term contract).

The potential candidate will work at the MSN department within a group actively involved in strategic projects focused on the valorization of by-products from the phosphate industry (such as phosphogypsum) as well as from construction materials industries, in line with circular economy principles and sustainable development goals. The selected candidate will be responsible for various crucial tasks, including the design and modeling of experimental or pre-industrial systems using CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus). They will need to develop physical prototypes using 3D printing, machining, or other additive/subtractive manufacturing methods. Close collaboration with materials science researchers will be essential to test transformation or valorization processes. The candidate will also contribute to the development of technical reports, calculation notes, functional diagrams (SysML), and patent documentation where applicable.
