About the Role
Intetics Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Engineer to join a dynamic team working on a Risk-Based Vulnerability Management Platform for complex enterprises. This is a platform-level position with a strong focus on database performance, data handling at scale, and code optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale data environments, identifying and preventing performance bottlenecks such as O(n²) issues and off-by-one errors
- Audit existing database queries and code to recommend improvements, including query restructuring and schema optimization strategies
- Develop performant PHP code that scales effectively as data volumes increase by factors of 10, ensuring consistent performance across small and large datasets
- Create and maintain database schemas, recommending appropriate sort keys, shard keys, and indexes for optimal performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones using Agile/Scrum methodologies to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions
- Review and improve existing table structures and database architecture to enhance scalability and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional PHP development experience
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases and complex SQL query optimization
- Extensive experience working with large volumes of data and understanding data interaction patterns
- Strong knowledge of modern PHP versions and Linux platform maintenance in cloud environments
- Demonstrated technical troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in professional settings
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with SingleStore/MemSQL or other advanced relational databases
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning technologies (SCA, SAST, DAST, IAST, VM scanning, containers)
- AWS or other cloud environment experience
- Background in data analytics or data science
