As part of the flagship Harvard Debate Council Rabat Summer Program 2026, we bring together ambitious students and exceptional mentors for an intensive, high-impact learning experience in Rabat, Morocco.
Role Overview
We are hiring Academic Advisors to lead and support the university preparation and student guidance component of the summer program. This role focuses on:
- University admissions strategy (US, UK, Europe)
- Personal statement and essay coaching
- Student mentoring and profile development
Note: This is not a debate instruction role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workshops on university admissions and application strategy
- Guide students through personal statement development and essay editing
- Support students in building strong academic and extracurricular profiles
- Conduct mock interviews and provide actionable feedback
- Mentor students in small groups and 1-on-1 settings
- Contribute to a structured, high-quality learning environment
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience in university admissions, advising, or academic mentoring
- Strong writing and editing skills (especially for application essays)
- Familiarity with US, UK, or European admissions systems
- Ability to engage, motivate, and mentor high-potential students
- Excellent communication skills in English (French/Arabic is a plus)
- Professional, proactive, and adaptable

- Format: In-person
- Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (+ select events)
- Duration: 10 days
