Mission
As part of Stellantis's Software Organization (SWx), you will join the growing Automated Driving field as an Automated Driving Virtual Validation Test Engineer working on L2 to L3 test activities. Virtual Validation is a branch of Core SW Virtual Verification & Validation, focused on validating customer function requirements for L2+/L3 features.
In Deterministic Validation, you will identify the requirements to be tested across different input parameters, define KPIs and the evaluators needed, and create scenario-based test cases to evaluate requirement performance. You will work with a global team on a new and challenging task: deterministic validation and execution on an ADAS/AD simulation tool.
Responsibilities
- Create test cases for deterministic validation and validate them through local simulations and SIL/HIL toolchains.
- Write test cases in the ALM tool and develop Python test automation scripts, including debugging and resolving issues during execution.
- Identify requirements to test across varying input parameters, define KPIs, and build scenario-based test cases.
- Evaluate new candidate pipelines entering the company.
- Provide structured feedback to the team lead and support the team in resolving problems raised by executing test pattern files.
- Continuously improve the existing framework, communicate and brainstorm ideas with the team, and work cross-functionally to identify risks.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university.
- 2 or more years of experience in software DevOps or CI/CD.
- Proven experience using simulators or commercial simulation tools for ADAS/AD.
- 3 years of proactive coding experience in Python for test automation scripts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software testing toolsets, languages, and test case execution.
- 2 or more years of experience validating ADAS features using automated test suites and system test validation aligned with ADAS/AD product requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of classifying product requirements by testability and suitable test platform.
Preferred qualifications
- Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university.
- Knowledge of ADAS/autonomous driving features and related electronic architectures.
- Knowledge of JSON, OpenSCENARIO and OpenDRIVE scenario files.
- Experience using simulator APIs with Python to interact with the simulator.
- Knowledge of test platforms such as Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop.
- 3 or more years of experience in AD scenario-based simulation.
- Familiarity with software DevOps or CI/CD environments and tools such as Docker, Airflow and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and CarSim.
- System test validation of software components related to ADAS/AD.
