Role Overview
As an Aircraft Technician in Base Maintenance, you will perform maintenance tasks on Emirates and third-party aircraft and components under the direction of Licensed Aircraft Engineers, working within your trained trade or cross-trade disciplines.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of aircraft, engines, and components with approved structural repairs in compliance with manufacturer procedures
- Ensure adherence to all safety procedures during fluid replenishment, aircraft refuelling, and systems charging or servicing
- Complete component replacements and maintenance activities as directed, interpreting Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Parts Catalogues, and other OEM-approved documentation
- Support Licensed Aircraft Engineers in troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications; complete tasks promptly and ensure accurate shift handovers
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by minimising risks, reporting deficiencies, and maintaining clean, organised work areas free of FOD
- Contribute to team objectives and support continuous improvement initiatives through collaboration
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering
- Vocational or Diploma qualification (12+2 or equivalent)
- Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent training with a reputable airline or approved aircraft maintenance organisation, or an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License
- Minimum two years of on-the-job training in an airline or approved aircraft maintenance organisation
Key Requirements
- Safety-sensitive role requiring compliance with all airport safety regulations
- Valid Airport Driving Permit required
- PSMP role designation
