About This Role
Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. We are seeking an Arabic Music & Lyrics Expert to evaluate and assess AI-generated music and lyrics, helping improve AI model performance in the music domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated music across various genres and assess quality standards in Arabic and English
- Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities and potential issues
- Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality
- Assess whether lyrics sound natural, considering word choice, slang, and regional expressions
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and contribute to AI model improvement
Required Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic with ability to follow detailed instructions in English
- Professional experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist with knowledge of the Arabic music scene
- Access to headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition
- Credited or published songwriting work
- Broad familiarity with contemporary Arabic genres, sub-genres, and artists
Position Details

- Duration: Up to 6 months
- Commitment: 20+ hours per week

- Compensation: $17–$34 per hour
