About the Role

As the Azure Security Control Owner, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing Azure security controls within the organization. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with security standards and driving remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor Azure security KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) and track performance metrics
  • Perform Azure security assurance activities including CSPM report reviews, access review controls, and resource tagging validation
  • Liaise with operational teams to request and coordinate remediation actions for identified security gaps
  • Assess and recertify security exceptions to ensure continued compliance
  • Centralize and track remediation plans provided by operational teams
  • Perform monthly reporting and escalate alerts when remediations are delayed or KRIs are declining

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: University degree in computer science, information security, or related field
  • Experience: More than 5 years in IT/security roles with at least 1 year focused on Azure security
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of information security and Azure security platforms
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication ability to explain complex topics to technical and managerial audiences; capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities; collaborative approach with cross-functional teams
  • Languages: Fluency in English (including security terminology) is essential; French fluency is advantageous
