About the Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering (CBS)
The CBS Department is an entity of UM6P that aims to establish a distinctive research-teaching program of international level. The focus is on green and environmental chemistry applied to all aspects of chemical sciences: organic and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical biology, and biochemical and thermal reactions.
Research at CBS addresses challenging industrial questions, from complex chemical and biochemical reactions to scale-up and validation of process engineering, with emphasis on efficiency, environmental friendliness, and sustainability.
Position Overview
CBS is seeking a postdoctoral fellow specializing in analytical chemistry to reinforce the department team. The candidate will contribute to research activities on industrial subjects relating to chemical phosphate manufacturing processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct research activities on industrial subjects related to chemical phosphate manufacturing processes
- Supervise internships, projects, and practical work in analytical chemistry and related scientific fields
- Organize and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences related to chemical and process engineering
- Support PhD and Master students in writing reports, dissertations, and end-of-study papers
- Participate in UM6P's collective projects and external missions
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or a related field
- Extensive experience in analytical chemistry with proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Hybrid expertise in analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, and materials chemistry
- Experience in sampling, preparation, and sample analysis using different techniques
- Fluent in French and English
- Ability to carry out feasibility, cost, risk, and opportunity assessment studies
- Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong oral and written communication skills for publications, reports, and projects
