About the Role
Join Mohammed VI Polytechnic University's College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering as an Adjunct Lecturer specializing in process instrumentation, control, and simulation. This is a 100% teaching position (50-100 hours) at the School of Chemical Sciences & Engineering (SCSE), with an optional research component.
Teaching Activities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in industrial instrumentation, measurement, data acquisition, process control, and automation
- Teach process modelling and simulation content; supervise simulation components of design projects
- Contribute to electricity and electronics teaching in the preparatory cycle
- Prepare, invigilate, and mark examinations and continuous assessments
- Participate in pedagogical committees and examination boards; coordinate with module coordinators
Academic Environment
This is a teaching-focused position with no mandatory research requirements. Research participation is optional and voluntary, without affecting teaching service or position evaluation. You may co-supervise student projects and internships as relevant.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate or engineering degree with substantial professional or teaching experience in instrumentation, control engineering, or process simulation
- Practical command of at least one process simulation environment and industrial control platforms
- Demonstrated teaching experience at engineering school, preparatory cycle, or university level
- Ability to work within a teaching team and comply with assessment and quality procedures
- Availability throughout the academic year for modules, assessments, and examination boards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project-based, problem-based, or challenge-based teaching
- Experience in laboratory or computer-based teaching in engineering programs
- Teaching proficiency in both French and English
