Compliance Operations Analyst

About the Role

RemotePass is seeking a Compliance Operations Analyst to join its growing Compliance Operations team. You will handle day-to-day compliance activities including reviewing company documents, verifying contractor identities, running sanctions checks, and flagging potential risks. Working closely with two other analysts and reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll support the platform's risk-based onboarding and compliance workflows that protect clients and contractors across 150+ countries.

Main Responsibilities

• Review client KYB documentation — corporate registration, ownership structure, proof of operations, and authorized representatives
• Support contractor KYC — verify IDs, resolve address or payment detail mismatches, and handle jurisdictional flags
• Run sanctions, PEP, and adverse media checks using approved tools and procedures
• Investigate payment issues — failed payouts, payment detail changes, and cross-border payment concerns
• Maintain compliance trackers, evidence folders, and case notes to ensure audit readiness
• Escalate potential fraud, sanctions risk, unusual activity, or policy violations quickly and clearly

Required Skills and Experience

• 1–3 years of hands-on compliance experience in KYC, KYB, client onboarding, or sanctions screening
• Ideally worked at a payment processor, bank, crypto exchange, or money transmitter
• Strong document review skills — ability to spot missing, inconsistent, or unclear information
• Proficient with spreadsheets, case queues, and managing multiple open cases simultaneously
• Excellent written English for case notes and client communications
• High attention to detail with sound judgment on escalation decisions
