Position Summary
Linguists are key players at TransPerfect. Your language skills and subject matter expertise will enable you to create and finalize translation products for international clients. Working under manager guidance and collaborating with Project Managers, you will translate and proofread documents in the life science and clinical-legal sectors. This is a fully remote position available worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate documents from English to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) in life science and clinical-legal specializations
- Proofread and finalize translated materials to ensure quality before client delivery
- Collaborate with Project Managers and follow manager guidance on project requirements
- Maintain professionalism and meet tight deadlines consistently
- Complete translation and MTPE (Machine Translation Post-Editing) assessments as required
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan)
- Specialized expertise in life science, clinical, or legal translation
- Meticulous attention to detail, spelling, and grammar
- Ability to work professionally under tight deadlines
- Asian time zone location preferred
Education & Experience Requirements
Candidates must fulfill at least one of the following:
- Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies with significant translation training from a recognized institution
- 2+ years of translation experience with a college degree
- 5+ years of translation experience without a college degree
- Certificate of competence in translation from an appropriate government body
