Voice Recording Participant – Multilingual English Speech Research

About This Opportunity

Volga Partners is seeking multilingual participants for a Global Language Research Project focused on understanding natural English speech across different languages, accents, generations, regions, and devices. Your voice will help improve how voice technology understands people from diverse language backgrounds.

What You'll Do

• Read and record short conversational prompts in English using your natural speaking voice
• Complete the recording remotely from a quiet location using your personal device
• Follow simple recording and audio-quality instructions
• Submit completed recordings through the designated project platform
• Respond to the project team if clarification or re-recording is needed

Key Requirements

• Strong English reading and comprehension skills
• Comfortable reading English sentences and conversational prompts aloud
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions in English
• Fluency or strong proficiency in at least one of the listed language backgrounds (French, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Albanian, or Arabic-French)
• Access to a compatible device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, or Apple computer) with reliable internet
• Quiet indoor recording environment

Time Commitment

Most participants complete the task in approximately 20–35 minutes, with the entire activity designed to take less than 60 minutes.

Compensation

This is a paid remote research opportunity. Base rates range from $15–$25 per completed task, depending on your language background. Earn an additional $2.00 if you are age 55+, or recording on an iPad or Apple computer.

Who We're Looking For

Adults across all age groups (18–27, 28–39, 40–54, 55–70, 71+) with diverse language backgrounds. Participants age 50+ are especially encouraged to apply.

Important: No professional voice, acting, or research experience is required. We want to hear natural voices from people with different language backgrounds and accents.
