Perfumery Laboratory Assistant - Casablanca

Based in Givaudan's new Fragrance office in Casablanca, you will support the Perfumers with compounding and day-to-day laboratory operations, working in an efficient and organised manner in line with business needs and EH&S policies. You will report to the Technical and Laboratory Team Lead and contribute to the Fragrance team's continued success in the SAMEA region.

Main responsibilities

  • Preparing perfume oils according to pre-defined formulas
  • Carrying out the sampling process optimally, efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Maintaining the stock of perfumery raw materials in the laboratory and requesting replenishment when necessary
  • Ensuring timely delivery of oils to perfumers and the Application laboratory
  • Ordering laboratory supplies when needed
  • Ensuring strict compliance with safety norms and practices and maintaining the laboratory
  • Being an active team player with an open mind for continuous improvement

Your professional profile

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a fragrance compounding laboratory or related environment
  • Knowledge of computer systems, such as MS Office and ERP systems
  • Ability to adapt to daily laboratory work surrounded by the constant smell of raw materials
  • Basic knowledge of LCMS
  • Ability to file and keep records of prepared samples
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in French, English and Arabic
  • Excellent time management skills
