They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.
The team supports Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes in applicable TE systems, and support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and control the Process Equipment
- Ensure the startup of transferred and new projects in time
- Coordinate the Process and Product validation
- Coordinate the BOM and ROUTINE update in SAP
- Monitor Production KPIs and guarantee defined targets (Scrap rate, Claims)
- Ensure continuous improvement through deployment of LEAN manufacturing tools on the shopfloor
- Participate in Cost Reduction Projects
- Supervise and optimize the layout
- Lead PFMEA reviews with multidisciplinary team, ensure implementation and follow-up
- Ensure and coordinate the preparation of audits in the Process Department
- Ensure Process Documentation (SWI, Capabilities, PFMEA, PFD, R&R, Process Release)
- Animate Shopfloor Meetings (Go meeting, Scrap meeting)
- Develop new automated solutions to enhance profitability and improve quality indicators
Required Qualifications
- BAC+5 in industrial engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of Automotive Core Tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, 8D, IATF 16949:2016
- Advanced communication skills
- Strong problem solving mindset
