Market Research Analyst Intern – Pre-employment Internship

LixCap specializes in investment development, from advisory work to programming in entrepreneurship and private sector access to finance development with a special emphasis on the agribusiness sector, logistics, green economy investment, and renewable energy. Responsibilities - Support Research Design: Assist in designing and implementing market research strategies, including the selection of appropriate methodologies and tools. - Execute Data Collection: Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary research utilizing public and proprietary databases (e.g., Euromonitor, Trade Map, national statistics). - Data Analysis & Modeling: Collect, validate, and analyze market/industry data. Perform quantitative tasks such as market sizing, competitor benchmarking, and demand forecasting using tools like SPSS, EViews, R, or Excel. - Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate and support interviews with key industry stakeholders (KOLs, experts) to gather qualitative market insights. - Reporting & Communication: Synthesize findings into high-quality written reports and presentations. Professionally communicate strategic insights to managers and clients in virtual or in-person settings. Minimum Requirements - Master’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field. - Prior internship or work experience in market research, management consulting, or corporate strategy is highly desirable. - Advanced command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. Familiarity with statistical software is a strong asset. - Soft Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines. - Experience in creating detailed analytical reports and delivering presentations. - Proficiency in written and spoken French and English. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong cross-cultural and cross-functional communication skills. - Knowledge or exposure to sectors such as cold chain logistics or energy is a plus, but not required. - Skills in data analysis, data visualization, and econometric modeling are preferred.
