Position Overview
The successful candidate will carry out duties to the highest standard in hydrogel materials research, supporting experimental design and conducting laboratory tests to assess reactivity and material properties.
Main Responsibilities
- Support experimental design and conduct laboratory tests to assess reactivity and material properties
- Prepare and test hydrogel materials for targeted applications
- Perform controlled experiments following established protocols and ensure reproducibility
- Perform routine material characterization (e.g., pH, conductivity, solubility, ICP, rheology, SEM, TEM, EDX, etc.)
- Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data
- Prepare experimental protocols, technical notes, and progress reports
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure adherence to safety procedures
Required Profile
- Master's degree or Engineering degree in materials science, polymer science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields
- Strong laboratory skills and hands-on experience in material preparation, synthesis and analysis
- Good communication skills in English and French to document results, write technical reports, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary research team
- Ability to write clear experimental reports, technical summaries, and research notes
