Product & Design Intern – Tabby Imagine Challenge Winner

About This Opportunity

This is a 6-month paid internship at Tabby, a fintech company in Saudi Arabia. You enter through Tabby Imagine, an open design and product challenge. Three winners are selected, and each takes this role. There is no traditional CV screening—your challenge entry is your only application material.

How to Apply

• Submit a product idea for Tabby in any format: written page, Figma file, prototype, code, or video
• Entries are blind-reviewed (your name is hidden during scoring)
• Top entrants present live at the final on 15 October—this replaces the interview
• Entries open 16 September and close 30 September at tabby.sa/en-SA/engineering/imagine

Key Responsibilities

• Take real product problems from research through shipped changes, including user interviews and data analysis
• Design solutions in Figma with full flows, screens, and edge cases; iterate through team critique
• Hand off work to engineers and support the build through release
• Measure results and report outcomes honestly to the team, including failures
• Collaborate across engineering, analytics, and product teams; present and defend decisions with evidence
• Write clear documentation so others can act on your work independently

Required Skills

• Age 18 or over and based in Saudi Arabia
• Demonstrated ability to make product decisions (not just design screens)
• Proficiency in Figma: components, prototyping, and engineer handoff
• Clear written communication in Arabic or English
• Openness to critique and willingness to argue with evidence

Strong Plus

• Any shipped work: personal app, university project with real users, or freelance product work
• Comfort reading data, funnels, and interpreting metrics
• Front-end familiarity to understand build costs and feasibility
• Interest in fintech, payments, or Saudi Arabia's financial behaviors

What We Don't Expect

• Professional product or design experience
• Design degree or polished portfolio (work in progress is fine)
• Any certifications

Role Details

• Duration: 6 months, starting mid-October 2026
• Compensation: SAR 3,000 per month, fully funded by Tabby
• Team: Full integration into a product or design team matched to your challenge work
• Location: Office-first if based in Riyadh; distributed team across multiple countries
• Path Forward: Potential transition to a junior role afterward (based on performance, not guaranteed)

Eligibility

• Living in Saudi Arabia, 18+, citizens and residents welcome
• Individual entries only (no teams)
• Not eligible if currently employed by Tabby, a contractor, immediate family of staff, or left Tabby in the last 12 months
• Full-time engagement expected; this is not a part-time role
