We are seeking a skilled Research Assistant to support water management research, focusing on comparative analyses of water use in tourist and industrial sectors, as well as forecasting desalination requirements. The ideal candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at sustainable water resource management within the Integrated Water Resources Management specialization.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comparative analyses of water usage patterns between commercial and industrial sectors, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities
Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of data related to water consumption, wastewater treatment, and production technologies
Contribute to the development of models and forecasts for future water requirements based on demographic, economic, and environmental factors
Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and academic papers summarizing research findings and recommendations
Collaborate with senior researchers and stakeholders to support ongoing projects and initiatives in water management

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in social sciences (economics or agricultural economics), Econometrics, geography, rural engineering, soil sciences or related discipline
Rigorous quantitative and data analysis training
Proficiency in conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data, and synthesizing information from multiple sources
Experience with statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, SPSS) for data analysis and modeling purposes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey research findings effectively
