About the Role
Reporting to the LTSA Project Manager, you will provide on-site technical support to the client's Operations and Maintenance team, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of Mitsubishi Power equipment. This development-focused role is suited to a junior to mid-level engineer with a background or strong interest in Instrumentation and Control, automation, electrical engineering, commissioning, start-up or industrial operations. You will be trained and supported to develop into a resident I&C and reliability specialist, acting as a key technical interface on site.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide resident on-site technical support with focus on Instrumentation and Control, control systems and unit operation
- Act as primary technical interface with client's Operations and Maintenance team, providing day-to-day technical support and coordination
- Support rapid troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective actions for operational, instrumentation and control system issues
- Develop capability in diagnostics of sensors, actuators, field instrumentation, control loops and system behaviour
- Analyse unit performance, trips, derating events and operational trends to identify root causes and reliability improvements
- Support planned, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, spare parts management and outage preparation
Required Qualifications
- Graduate-level education in engineering discipline, ideally Instrumentation and Control, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
- Background or strong interest in I&C, automation, electrical systems, control systems or industrial operations
- Basic understanding of DCS systems, field instrumentation, sensors, actuators and control loops
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with structured approach to problem-solving
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to work in site-based environment
- Good communication skills and professionalism to work directly with client teams
- Fluency in business English and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional, collaborative and self-driven approach with high standards of safety, integrity and ownership
Beneficial Experience
- General understanding of gas turbines, generators, rotating equipment or power generation technology
- Exposure to commissioning, start-up, operations, maintenance, field service or industrial engineering
- Knowledge of MS Project
