About the Role
Intertek, a leading provider of Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification (ATIC) Services, seeks a QC Inspector/Inspection Coordinator for its Industry Services Division. You will be based at the supplier's site in the Massa area, working alongside the Lead Inspector/Expediter to oversee, manage, and coordinate QC inspection and expediting activities for Turbo-Compressor Trains and Auxiliaries projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform inspection activities at EPC premises and EPC sub-vendor facilities
- Support Lead Inspector in planning, coordinating, and providing instructions/documentation to local inspectors based on applicable Notification for Inspections
- Liaise daily with vendor quality teams and internal stakeholders to address findings, agree on corrective actions, and monitor closure
- Maintain accurate records including punch-lists, reports registers, and shared folder data; issue and review inspection reports
- Ensure compliance with Project QC requirements and US regulations including NFPA, ASME, and other relevant codes and standards
- Identify quality risks proactively and implement preventive measures collaboratively
- Participate in internal and external quality meetings, providing technical input as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in inspection and project follow-up, preferably with turbo-compressor trains
- Knowledge of US codes and standards (ASME, NFPA, AWS) with ability to consult and apply them
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Availability to travel to EPC facilities in Tuscany and sub-vendors across Italy and abroad
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- NDT Qualifications and Welding Inspector Certification
- Familiarity with mechanical and E&I scopes
- Italian language proficiency
