About the Role
Join SCOR's North Asia Life & Health Reserving team based in our Casablanca actuarial hub. This senior position reports to the Head of L&H Reserving, North Asia, and focuses on delivering IFRS 17 and Solvency II results for Korea and Japan markets. You will lead key valuation activities, mentor junior team members, and drive transformation of reserving processes and systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Review and produce IFRS 17, Solvency II, and local statutory results for the North Asia market
- Perform change analysis across various reporting bases and review experience analysis to set assumptions
- Lead the actuarial audit process and manage relationships with local auditors
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes and tools
- Liaise with Technical Accounting, Pricing, and IFM teams to review baseline estimates
- Ensure Prophet User Acceptance Testing is performed with appropriate documentation and provide quality insights to stakeholders across Singapore, Cologne, Paris, and Dublin
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance in reserving or actuarial modelling
- Qualified or part-qualified actuary, or bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent quantitative field
- Knowledge of actuarial modelling platforms (Prophet, AXIS, or equivalent); Prophet expertise is a definite advantage
- Strong understanding of Life and Health insurance and reserving practices
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience leading projects, workstreams, and teams in a global context
- Programming experience with Python or SQL is an advantage
- Fluent English speaker
