About the Role
Join SCOR's brand-new Actuarial Hub in Casablanca as a Senior Analyst in Life & Health Reserving. You will be a key member of the L&H Reserving Team, playing an integral role in producing valuation results for SCOR's global Life & Health business. This role combines technical expertise with collaborative problem-solving in a dynamic, innovative environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide production support for IFRS 17, Solvency II, and local statutory/GAAP results
- Perform Analysis of Change for various reporting bases and ensure consistency with Technical Accounting, Pricing, and In-force Management teams
- Maintain high-quality documentation, validation checks, and controls for reporting processes; support the annual actuarial audit
- Conduct data and results validation, sensitivity and stress testing, and identify process improvement opportunities
- Work on actuarial models including setup of inputs, runs, extraction, and output review
- Provide quality output and value-adding insights to stakeholders across the SCOR Group globally
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in insurance or reinsurance in valuation, reserving, cashflow analysis, or actuarial modelling
- Actively pursuing actuarial exams with good progress, or holds an actuarial academic qualification
- Proficiency with actuarial database software including SQL; strong understanding of data structures and large data volumes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of Life and Health insurance and reserving practices; exposure to IFRS 17 or Solvency II preferred
- Experience with data visualisation tools, programming languages (Python), or actuarial modelling platforms (Prophet, AXIS, MoSes) is advantageous
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, engineering, physics, or equivalent quantitative field
