About the Role
Join Tiger Brands as a Senior Corporate Finance Manager, supporting the Corporate Finance function in close partnership with the Tax Director and Group Finance leadership. This strategic role focuses on financial planning, analysis, capital management, and mergers and acquisitions to ensure organizational competitiveness.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial models for analysis, valuations, and risk management
- Advise on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and financial due diligence opportunities
- Coordinate due diligence processes with legal, finance, and internal/external stakeholders
- Manage post-merger integration and monitor acquired company performance
- Support balance sheet optimization through asset optimization, liability management, and working capital efficiency
- Provide investor relations support including competitor analysis, benchmarking, and market-facing reports
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strategic Thinking: Align financial objectives with organizational goals and long-term business landscape
- Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Build models to forecast revenues, costs, and profits
- M&A and Financial Analysis: Expertise in ROI, NPV, IRR, DCF, and valuation metrics
- Communication and Persuasion: Navigate complex matrix structures with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Technical Competency: Interpret balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Collaborative Leadership: Drive process improvements and continuous optimization
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 5-7 years of corporate finance experience
- Professional finance qualification (CA(SA) preferred)
- Strong commercial experience in M&A and corporate finance
- In-depth understanding of insurance industry preferred
