The Role
As a Senior Platform Engineer on the Platform Flow Engineering team, you will help shape the platform capabilities that sit between code and production. You'll work on CI/CD systems, cloud infrastructure, observability, developer tooling, and operational workflows. This is a fully remote position requiring availability within +4 / -0 UTC.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain internal tooling, packages, and abstractions to create self-service paths for engineers and reduce infrastructure complexity
- Build, operate, and continuously improve reliable, automated CI/CD pipelines enabling safe and frequent deployments
- Operate and improve AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with focus on scalability, availability, security, and cost efficiency
- Apply SRE principles, observability, and incident-management practices to reduce outages and eliminate recurring operational work
- Identify and implement practical ways to use AI and automation to improve developer productivity and reduce engineering toil
- Work closely with application, security, and infrastructure teams to diagnose issues and support incident response
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar production engineering role
- Strong software development experience with ability to build maintainable automation, tooling, and platform abstractions
- Proven experience designing and operating production systems on AWS
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or equivalent
- Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and production debugging using tools such as Datadog or Sentry
- Strong understanding of reliability, incident response, and operational best practices
- Platform mindset: thinking about internal engineering teams as customers and reducing their cognitive load
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in remote, asynchronous environments
- Fluent English language skills and reliable home internet connection
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience building or evolving internal developer platforms, golden paths, or self-service infrastructure
- Experience with AI coding assistants, agents, or AI-powered developer tooling
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, Harness, Drone, or modern CI/CD platforms
- Experience automating Heroku, Render, or similar application platforms through Terraform
- Experience improving macOS and Linux developer environments through automation
- Experience in remote-first, globally distributed teams
