About the Role

As Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Networking within APMT TECH HUBS Service Delivery team, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing all IT and Industrial/Automation Network infrastructure across the region. You will act as the regional technical lead and subject matter expert for the Network domain, leading a small team of Network experts and ensuring all activities are executed in a standardized, coherent, and efficient manner.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive infrastructural standardization in line with corporate TECH strategy and implement global and local programs and solutions
  • Lead network design, implementation, operational troubleshooting, performance optimization, and IT/OT integration activities across terminals in Spain and Morocco
  • Manage the lifecycle of network-related equipment and solutions, acting as lead for solving technical incidents and problems
  • Lead, oversee, and manage a team of network-related employees from a technical content perspective, ensuring standard ways of working are established and documented
  • Partner with internal colleagues, vendors, and third parties as the primary point of contact for network domain expertise and project management
  • Set up domain roadmaps, manage network-related projects, and ensure strong operational governance through incident/problem management and RCA

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with network technologies such as Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus) and industrial networks like Siemens Scalance
  • Strong expertise in L2/L3 networking, routing protocols, VLANs, redundancy mechanisms, and wireless technologies including industrial Wi-Fi and LTE
  • Proven experience supporting automation systems (SCADA, PLCs, OT components) ensuring high availability in 24/7 operational environments
  • Strong troubleshooting capability including log analysis, packet tracing, and root-cause investigation with ability to respond to high-impact incidents
  • Hands-on experience executing network upgrades, changes, migrations, and modernization activities in a structured and risk-aware manner
  • Good understanding of fiber optics, OTDR interpretation, and physical-layer validation
  • Ability to act as a regional technical expert collaborating with global teams, cybersecurity, OT teams, and service providers
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) with proactive, structured, and analytical mindset
