Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracting

About the Role

Join Boston Consulting Group's Global Legal Team as a Legal Counsel specializing in Commercial Contracting. You will be a seasoned lawyer with expertise in all aspects of commercial contracting, serving as a fully integrated member of the team with a primary focus on commercial matters, risk identification, and internal process improvement for BCG's operations in Morocco and the Africa System.

Main Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including master services agreements, client and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, subcontractor and partnership agreements, and nondisclosure agreements
• Serve as champion of BCG contracting and risk management standards, implementing and developing policies and processes
• Provide counseling and guidance to the Finance team to support contract management and seek approvals on policy deviations
• Manage a full spectrum of business and legal issues including intellectual property, data protection, competition law, and trade regulations
• Identify legal risks and issues, suggest alternative solutions, and act as a bridge between functions and business for resolving complex legal matters
• Contribute to developing Legal Team know-how, templates, and technology solutions

Required Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 5+ years of commercial contracting experience with international exposure
• 2+ years with a reputable law firm preferred; prior relevant in-house experience preferred
• Fluency in French and English; Arabic is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Work Environment

You will work with senior leadership, members of the BCG Global Legal team, Finance, and the Partnership. You will report into the Commercial group within the Legal Team and collaborate across various functions and cohorts throughout the company.
