Role Overview
We are hiring a Software Engineer for our Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team within our AI division. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support model training operations, building high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research.
What You'll Do
- Identify and integrate new sources of audio data into our ingestion pipeline
- Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for data ingestion pipelines on GCP using Terraform
- Collaborate with scientists to optimize the cost/throughput/quality frontier for data delivery at scale
- Work with the AI Team and leadership to develop the dataset roadmap for next-generation products
Required Qualifications
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency with bash and Python scripting in Linux environments
- Professional experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
