The Statutory Reporting Controllership Specialist ensures technical accounting compliance, maintains robust financial and operational internal controls, drives process simplification, and supports operational excellence in delivering accurate statutory financial statements. This role requires strong accounting expertise, advanced analytical capabilities, and effective collaboration across finance and business functions, with support for data readiness, standardization, and automation initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant completion of all statutory and regulatory filings in accordance with country-specific legal and regulatory requirements
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to complete statutory audits and prepare financial statements in line with local standards
• Support direct tax teams in preparing and submitting income tax returns within prescribed statutory deadlines
• Conduct periodic data readiness checks to identify and resolve data quality or process inconsistencies ahead of reporting cycles
• Serve as a subject matter expert to colleagues and coordinate small-scale projects with limited risk and resource requirements
• Partner with the Statutory Transformation Team to support development of automated and AI-driven solutions

Key Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial statement audits and local accounting compliance
• Knowledge and experience in data analytics, including Power BI or similar tools
• Fluency in English and French
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical thinking capabilities
• Project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance
• Experience with Big 10 audit firms is a strong advantage
