Supply Chain Support Specialist IV

Job Overview

Supports and optimizes the supply chain and coordinates all aspects of supply chain processes in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on materials scheduling, production planning, inventory management, and supplier coordination to ensure timely delivery and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and issue detailed materials schedules; establish master schedules to meet shipping dates based on sales forecasts and customer orders
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering teams to manage and expedite production while meeting customer expectations
• Review and optimize master data and parameter settings in SAP and other supply chain systems
• Schedule material and component supplies to meet production requirements and maintain minimum safety stock levels
• Develop and implement processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit; manage day-to-day orders and deliveries
• Monitor inventory levels against targets, minimize obsolete stock, and manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery
• Address material shortages affecting production and monitor supply chain performance to drive continuous improvements

Required Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Production Planning or Materials Management in a manufacturing/plant environment
• Proven track record of supply chain improvements with documented performance results
• Working experience with supply chain planning systems and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Experience in the Automotive Sector within a global organization is advantageous
