Team Leader - Machining & Prototype Manufacturing

Job Overview

Sets up machine tools, fabricates, assembles, maintains, and tests machinery and equipment for experimental purposes according to established machining procedures. This role combines technical expertise with team leadership responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specified quality standards, document defects, and identify root causes for recurring issues
• Interpret blueprints and design documents to develop prototype models, create toolpaths, and conduct audits to verify part availability for building, repair, and testing
• Fabricate prototype-level components according to specifications to support product development from ideation through product introduction
• Establish and optimize machining processes for prototype components
• Monitor preventive maintenance of machines and equipment through calibration and ensure routine service compliance with established guidelines

Required Background

Minimum 5 years of related work experience required. High school completion required. Vocational training or Associate degree preferred.
