About This Role

As a Senior SharePoint Consultant, you will take technical ownership of the design, development, testing, packaging, and handover of modern SharePoint solutions for client engagements. You will work as the primary SharePoint specialist, collaborating with Graphic Designers, client stakeholders, and maintainers to translate business requirements into practical, secure, accessible, and maintainable solutions.

This role is unique because clients do not provide access to their production Microsoft 365 tenant. You will build and test solutions in our own Microsoft 365 tenant using synthetic content, then deliver deployable packages, provisioning artefacts, and runbooks for client execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver modern SharePoint communication sites, implementing page layouts, navigation, theming, and custom components in collaboration with designers
Develop production-quality SPFx web parts and extensions using React and TypeScript, managing the complete build, bundle, package, and deployment workflow
Create portable deployment artefacts including PnP provisioning templates, SPFx packages, site scripts, and comprehensive runbooks for non-technical client maintainers
Ensure delivered solutions meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements and work responsively across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
Conduct paired deployment sessions and provide technical enablement to client maintainers without assuming prior coding expertise
Identify technical risks early, challenge unnecessary customization, and maintain pragmatic focus on budget and timeline delivery

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online modern experiences, communication sites, team sites, hub sites, and site designs
Proven production experience developing SPFx web parts and extensions with React and TypeScript
Expert-level proficiency with PnP PowerShell, provisioning templates, and PnPjs tooling
Solid HTML, CSS fundamentals, and practical accessibility knowledge (WCAG 2.1 AA)
Understanding of Microsoft Graph API permissions, delegated/application permissions, and tenant administrator consent
Experience with REST APIs, authentication concepts, SharePoint App Catalog, and SPFx approval processes
Working knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps integration with SharePoint

Required Experience & Education

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years professional experience with SharePoint, including at least 3 years with SharePoint Online and modern experiences
Proven track record delivering SharePoint intranets, communication sites, or modern digital workplace solutions
Portfolio of delivered projects demonstrating your expertise
Previous consulting or contract delivery experience
Professional proficiency in English; French or other client languages are advantageous

Interpersonal Skills

Comfortable taking ownership as the sole SharePoint specialist on an engagement
Strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent written communication for technical documentation
Ability to teach and enable non-technical client maintainers effectively
