Senior Technical Lead - Architecture & Code Quality

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead to champion quality, architectural integrity, and long-term maintainability of our core platform. This highly technical and strategic role serves as the critical bridge between product vision and technical reality, driving technical standards and ensuring robust architectural design.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Strategy & Technical Leadership

• Maintain deep understanding of the entire application stack, architecture, data models, and infrastructure to guide strategic technical decisions
• Lead technical design, planning, and documentation for major system enhancements and architectural evolution (microservices, performance scaling)
• Actively contribute code to critical and foundational system components to maintain technical proficiency
• Proactively identify and address technical debt, introducing innovative solutions that improve developer efficiency and system reliability

Code Quality Assurance & Review

• Own and enforce the team's code review process, ensuring adherence to standards for performance, security, maintainability, and architectural consistency
• Use code reviews as a primary mechanism for knowledge transfer and mentorship, guiding developers toward best practices
• Define and implement automated quality checks, testing frameworks, and continuous integration processes for rapid, reliable deployments

Product Alignment & Technical Translation

• Serve as dedicated technical liaison to the Product Owner, translating product goals and business requirements into actionable technical tasks
• Assess technical feasibility and complexity of new initiatives, providing accurate projections and identifying risks early
• Advise on technical roadmap, balancing feature delivery with necessary architectural investments

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience with significant senior-level focus on system design and architecture
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, high-availability, and fault-tolerant systems
• Extensive experience conducting detailed, constructive code reviews
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Proven track record working successfully in Agile environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in domain-specific areas (FinTech, E-commerce, Data Analytics)
• Familiarity with multiple architectural styles (Monolithic, Microservices, Event-Driven)
• Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
