Job Overview

The Tool & Die Maker III ensures manufacturing support by providing tools and fixtures for production and evaluates the specifications of parts and completed tools. This role focuses on injection mold maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize production downtime while maintaining safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot assembly fixtures and perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all injection molds to minimize downtime
  • Disassemble molds, clean, reassemble after part configuration changes, and troubleshoot molds for repairs
  • Complete repairs and maintenance on molds as assigned and analyze parts for mold repair requirements
  • Ensure the Mold Maintenance area is clean and safe at all times, following all work instructions and procedures in accordance with TS16949
  • Help develop and maintain Mold Standards and inform Team Leader of requirements to maintain components for stores and repairs
  • Actively pursue opportunities to reduce cost and improve cycle times, supporting other teams with cost reduction implementations

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as Toolmaker in mold maintenance
  • High School diploma required
  • Experience with injection mold maintenance and repairs required
  • Solid understanding of the injection molding process
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
  • Proficient in reading design drawings and blueprints
  • Technical English proficiency
  • Ability to work flexible work hours, including unscheduled overtime when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Experience in machine shop techniques
  • Basic knowledge of Laser welding
