Our Copenhagen office is currently lookingfor a Junior Underwriter to join our Property Facultative team.
Main Purpose of the Role
Our Property
Facultative Reinsurance unit in the Copenhagen Branch services the Nordic
Market in Property, Energy and Engineering lines of business. Our client base
is a mixture of Local, Regional and International insurance companies. Being a Gen Re Underwriter means having a client-facing role with end-to-end responsibility across the underwriting process. The ideal
candidate will enjoy working in a small local team supported by an
international network of experienced underwriters.
The role holder
will be responsible for:
- underwriting risks from the technical analysis to pricing and contract negotiation
- building and nurturing strong relationships with existing clients from different markets
- sourcing new business
The successful candidate will benefit from
comprehensive in-house training to acquire the technical, commercial, and
cultural fundamentals required for this role. As part of this program, you will
have the opportunity to travel to various offices within the Group.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s
or Master’s Degree in Economics, Risk Management or Engineering
- Native
speaker of at least one Scadinavian language and fluent English required
- Customer focus mindset, strong negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of energy, organized and multi-tasking skills
- Willingness to travel for business
