About the Role

We are seeking a welding expert to provide top-tier mechanical consultancy for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, from conceptual design through installation and commissioning. You will join a highly skilled team of 200 colleagues across 8 mechanical departments, working on large-scale projects in the production phase that will challenge and develop your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect pipes, components, welds, weld documentation, and equipment
  • Prepare site inspection plans and reports; participate in inspections to ensure installation requirements are met
  • Execute projects during construction and installation phases, supervising contractors and suppliers
  • Conduct P&ID and IC line walks; control FAT/SAT activities
  • Provide mechanical consultancy ensuring customers receive top-notch service and support
  • Travel as required for project activities

About You

You are comfortable with dynamic and complex work in a project environment. You communicate transparently and precisely with managers, colleagues, customers, and stakeholders. You manage tasks in a structured way, are curious and open-minded to learning, and remain positive and persistent when facing challenges.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or welding supervision
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, machinist training, or equivalent technical qualifications for inspection/supervision on construction sites
  • Keen interest in the pharmaceutical industry and understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Experience with supervision or inspection of stainless-steel systems and process equipment
  • NDT inspector qualification (beneficial)
  • Welding technology qualifications such as IWE, IWT, IWS, or IWI-S (advantageous)
