DevOps / Cloud Engineer
Introduction
Enakl builds the digital infrastructure for shared commuting in African cities. Our platform handles 30K+ monthly bookings across B2B and consumer segments, with clear trajectory toward multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
Responsabilités
We're hiring a senior cloud & DevOps engineer to own our AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices as we scale toward multi-tenant SaaS. You'll inherit a Terraform foundation and CI/CD pipelines, then evolve them toward enterprise-grade, cost-optimized, secure deployments. ### Current Environment - AWS Infrastructure: VPC, RDS (PostgreSQL), EC2, Lambda, Route53, CloudWatch - IaC: Terraform modules with S3 state management - CI/CD: GitHub Actions pipelines - Team: Small experienced engineering team (you'll be the cloud & DevOps specialist) ### Initial Focus – Infrastructure Foundations - Security audit and hardening (IAM, security groups, network architecture) - CI/CD enhancement (automated testing, deployment strategies, rollbacks) - Cost optimization (right-sizing, auto-scaling, storage optimization) - Monitoring and alerting (CloudWatch, logging, incident response) ### Evolution – Multi-Tenant Architecture - Environment separation (dev/staging/prod with tenant isolation) - Developer enablement (local dev workflows, secrets management, deployments) - Security compliance (audit logging, operational standards) - Disaster recovery (backup strategies, multi-AZ deployments, recovery procedures) ### Long-Term – Enterprise Scale - Auto-scaling and load balancing - Advanced observability (APM, distributed tracing, dashboards) - IaC maturity (modular Terraform, testing, documentation)
Qualifications
### Required - 5+ years in cloud engineering / DevOps with AWS focus - Expert AWS skills (VPC, RDS, EC2, Lambda, Route53, CloudWatch, IAM) - Infrastructure as Code with deep Terraform expertise (modular design, state management) - DevOps expertise (CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, containerization) - Security-first mindset (AWS best practices, cost management, operational resilience) - Strong monitoring/observability expertise - Solid software engineering practices (clean code, testing, version control) ### Strong Plus - Multi-tenant architecture experience (tenant isolation, security, cost optimization) - PostgreSQL optimization (RDS tuning, read replicas, backup strategies) - Compliance frameworks (security audits, operational policies) - Cost optimization strategies (reserved/spot instances, AWS cost management)

Software Engineer (Open Application)

Your role
### What You’ll Work On (depending on timing and needs)- Backend features in NestJS (booking, payments, users, analytics, etc.)- Web development for our Backoffice (Next.js)- Mobile development for our Mobile Apps (Flutter)- Reliability, performance, and systems improvements- API design, PostgreSQL data modeling, and TypeORM work- Contributions to stability, observability, performance, and developer experienceYou won’t be expected to lead teams or handle management — this is an IC role.

Your qualifications
### What We’re Looking For- 2+ years professional experience as a software engineer- Strong proficiency with Typescript- Experience in Node.js frameworks (NestJS preferred, Express.js OK)- Solid SQL and PostgreSQL fundamentals- Solid architecture and system design skills - Experience with distributed systems, production-grade code and CI/CD- Ability to collaborate with remote engineers in a high-velocity environment- Ownership mindset and clean code practices### Nice to Have- Experience with multi-tenant or B2B systems- Familiarity with AWS (RDS, EC2, Lambda, S3)- Experience with Flutter or other mobile ecosystems
