About the Role

Bruker is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide expert technical support for FT-IR, FT-NIR, and Raman spectroscopy systems. You will deliver hands-on expertise in installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support for analytical instruments at customer facilities worldwide.

Main Responsibilities

  • Install FT-IR/FT-NIR/Raman systems and accessories at customer sites, ensuring full functionality and compliance with specifications
  • Perform repair, maintenance, and periodic servicing of products at customer locations according to service contracts
  • Train customers on equipment operation and secure acceptance sign-offs for installations and repairs
  • Provide technical support by responding to customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering additional services
  • Maintain detailed records of field trips, products, services, and implement software solutions into laboratory information systems
  • Act as primary communication link between customers and Bruker to ensure satisfaction and service quality

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in electrical/electronic engineering, chemistry, physics, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience diagnosing and repairing analytical, scientific, or electromechanical equipment
  • Strong technical skills in analytical instrumentation and networking
  • Excellent customer communication and presentation abilities; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computer systems; strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • English language skills at B2 level (upper intermediate) minimum
  • Valid driving license (mandatory)
  • Willingness to travel at least 70% of working time

Advantageous Skills

Expertise in FT-IR spectroscopy, NIR-Raman technology, remote sensing, microscopy, or laboratory organization is beneficial but not required.
