OPmobility, a global automotive supplier of intelligent exterior systems, lighting, clean energy and electrification solutions, is recruiting a senior data engineer to help establish its new Data Office in Tangier, Morocco. The role combines project management with hands-on data engineering: co-constructing project plans with business stakeholders, building and maintaining ETL/ELT/ESB pipelines and data products, and setting up data quality controls. It requires a master's degree, about 8 years of IT experience (preferably in industry), strong data programming skills (SQL, Python, Spark) and good English. The work is mixed, with two days of home office per week.

Vos missions

  • Build, document and maintain ETL/ELT/ESB data pipelines and data APIs

  • Monitor project progress, run post-project evaluations and adopt CI/CD practices

Project management

  • Co-construct the project plan with business stakeholders (teams, planning, method)
  • Implement the project plan and prepare all project governance meetings
  • Support business stakeholders in the design phase
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely delivery

Data engineering

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
  • Design data models and data products with the Data Managers and data architect(s)
  • Implement and maintain ETL/ELT/ESB processes
  • Design optimal data pipelines
  • Build, document and maintain data pipelines
  • Build and run data products (data APIs, datasets)
  • Set up data quality controls
  • Monitor and continuously improve data pipelines
  • Adopt CI/CD practices
  • Implement access policies for the data sets and data products in your scope

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • 8 years of work experience in an IT-related field, preferably within the industry
  • Programming language applied to data analysis (SQL, Python, Spark)
  • Good level of English
  • Ability to design and implement secure data acquisition and integration strategies (ETL / ELT / ESB)
  • Experience with data modeling and warehousing concepts
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Location

  • Tangier Automotive City – Cherafate
  • 2 days of home office per week
