Job Purpose

Assist the plant manager in decision-making by providing appropriate financial analyses, support, and advice to drive operational and strategic success.

Main Responsibilities

  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Serve as the go-to person for local and regional management on financial matters; ensure accurate and timely monthly management reporting.
  • Cost and Inventory Management: Ensure reliability of cost information in SAP systems; monitor working capital drivers including cash collection, payments, and physical inventory coordination.
  • Planning and Budgeting: Link plant financial objectives to business strategy; manage annual budget preparation and monthly forecasts with variance analysis and risk assessment.
  • Capital Investment Proposals: Develop and analyze prospective capital investment projects; monitor and control implementation with post-completion reviews.
  • Financial Close and Controlling: Execute monthly financial close processes including inventory reconciliation, fixed asset control, and accruals; maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with group standards and Moroccan GAAP.
  • External Reporting and Audits: Support statutory, tax, and legal reporting; assist in external audits in collaboration with Global Business Services.

Required Skills

  • Very good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Management accounting and cost controlling background
  • Competent written and spoken English
  • Strong Excel and SAP proficiency
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of Moroccan GAAP, local tax, and statutory requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 3 to 7 years of business and financial experience in a global or industrial organization
  • Familiarity with production units and finance processes
  • Proven experience in controlling
  • Preferred: Food or agri-business industry experience
