Vos missions

  • Manage design changes and continuously improve component designs throughout development phases

Profil recherché

  • You have 3+ years of automotive mechanical design experience with proven complex component development
  • You are proficient in CATIA V5, especially advanced Shape Design, and familiar with PDM systems
  • You have experience with electric drive units, e-motors, or power electronics packaging
  • You excel at cross-functional coordination and technical communication with stakeholders

What You Will Do

  • Develop engineering concepts for mechanical components and assemblies within conventional and electrified powertrain systems
  • Create 3D CAD models and technical drawings using CATIA V5
  • Ensure manufacturability, geometric integration, serviceability, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Coordinate with packaging, simulation, manufacturing, supplier, and project teams
  • Perform design studies and evaluate alternative concepts
  • Support design reviews and technical discussions with customers and stakeholders
  • Manage changes and continuously improve component designs during development phases

Component Design Areas

The position may involve the design and integration of exhaust systems, air intake systems, cast housings for electric machines and power electronics units, drive shafts, plastic covers, brackets, mounting systems, and e-mobility and high-voltage related mechanical components.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive mechanical design
  • Proven experience in independent development of at least one complex automotive component or assembly
  • Experience throughout the complete product development cycle from concept design to production release

Technical Skills

  • CATIA V5: Excellent knowledge with advanced Shape Design expertise (essential)
  • Part Design, Assembly Design, Drafting and GD&T
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Geometric Integration and Packaging
  • PDM systems (Teamcenter, ENOVIA, or similar)
  • FMEA knowledge and tolerance analysis
  • Automotive development processes and experience with electric drive units or power electronics packaging
