About the Role

APM Terminals is seeking a highly skilled and business-oriented Senior IT/OT Engineer to lead the implementation, integration, operation, and continuous improvement of IT/OT technologies within the terminal environment. You will act as a trusted technology partner to Terminal Operations, Engineering, Automation, and other business stakeholders, translating operational and business requirements into secure, resilient, scalable, and fit-for-purpose technology solutions.

You will manage the IT/OT technology landscape in alignment with APM Terminals and Maersk global standards while ensuring solutions meet terminal-specific operational requirements. The role combines technical leadership, business partnership, project delivery, service management, vendor management, continuous improvement, and people leadership.

Main Responsibilities

Manage and provide technical ownership of the IT/OT technology landscape within the assigned terminal domain
Lead planning and execution of IT/OT upgrades, enhancements, lifecycle refreshes, and technology changes with minimum disruption to critical operations
Own the IT/OT infrastructure lifecycle, identifying obsolescence, capacity constraints, technology risks, and modernization opportunities
Lead incident, problem, and root cause management, ensuring timely resolution of critical IT/OT issues within agreed SLAs
Lead and support IT/OT projects from requirements definition through implementation, commissioning, transition, and stabilization
Lead, coach, and develop L1/L2 IT/OT engineering and shift teams, ensuring technical capabilities and high-quality service delivery

Key Requirements

Proven experience as Senior IT/OT Engineer, IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer, or equivalent in complex operational or industrial environments
Strong understanding of IT/OT architecture, industrial networks, automation systems, PLC/controls, port equipment, and Terminal Operating Systems
Experience working with mission-critical IT/OT environments where availability, resilience, and operational continuity are priorities
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT/OT infrastructure and system issues across multiple domains
Strong understanding of IT service management, incident/problem management, change management, and project management
Proven ability to translate business and operational requirements into technology solutions balancing feasibility, value, risk, and cost
Strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical engineering teams
Experience in port terminals, logistics, manufacturing, industrial automation, or mission-critical operational environments highly desirable
