About the Role

Oracle is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and scale a multidisciplinary engineering organization of 30+ engineers at the Morocco Development Center. You will be accountable for people leadership, engineering execution, operational excellence, and talent development across Oracle Support, Oracle Operations, AI data platforms, and related software engineering initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop an engineering organization of 30+ employees, including engineering managers, technical leads, and individual contributors.
  • Set clear operating models, organizational structure, goals, and priorities aligned with product, support, data, and AI strategies.
  • Deliver reliable, secure, scalable software and operational improvements across assigned initiatives.
  • Drive engineering best practices including architecture reviews, design quality, code quality, testing, release readiness, and incident management.
  • Build and execute talent plans: hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, succession planning, and retention.
  • Partner with global teams to define roadmaps, resolve dependencies, and deliver measurable outcomes while managing budgets and staffing plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, data engineering, or related technical experience.
  • 5+ years of people-management experience, including managing managers and leading sizable engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex software, platform, support, data, or AI-related initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, cloud services, operational reliability, security, and agile delivery.
  • Experience leading teams supporting production systems or enterprise customers, including incident response and service improvement.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and organizational leadership skills.
  • Professional fluency in English; French and/or Arabic strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, data platforms, analytics, machine learning, or generative AI.
  • Experience working in global, distributed engineering organizations.
  • Experience building or scaling engineering teams in Morocco or the broader EMEA region.
  • Familiarity with Oracle products, Oracle Support processes, or enterprise customer environments.
  • Experience with workforce planning, organizational design, and budget management.
