About the Role

As a Software Engineer - Validation, you will build the "machine that tests the machine." Operating at the intersection of Hardware, Software, and DevOps, your mission is to develop hardware benches and software pipelines that enable the validation team to scale from testing 1 drone to 100 drones efficiently.

Main Responsibilities

  • Automation: Develop Python scripts and tools to automate log analysis, telemetry parsing, and report generation
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate physical hardware tests into the continuous integration pipeline in collaboration with the software team
  • HIL Development: Design and build Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches to simulate flight conditions in the lab
  • Mechanical Design (Bonus): Design mechanical fixtures and jigs using CAD to support repeatable physical testing

Required Qualifications

  • Background in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Mechatronics
  • Strong proficiency in Python (C++ is a plus)
  • Experience building test benches, HIL systems, or automated test equipment (ATE)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Git) and Linux environments
  • Background in robotics or drones (bonus)
  • Mechanical design skills and CAD experience (bonus)
