About the Role
As a Drone System Validation Technician and Pilot, you are the backbone of flight operations at Harmattan AI. You ensure that the fleet of autonomous drones is airworthy, updated, and ready for deployment at a moment's notice. You will manage the validation lab and support engineers during complex field campaigns.
Main Responsibilities
- Fleet Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on the drone fleet including soldering, mechanical assembly, and part replacement.
- Flight Operations: Pilot drones during test campaigns and act as the safety operator.
- Logistics: Manage inventory of spare parts, batteries, and field equipment; organize transport for test campaigns.
- Test Execution: Execute standard test protocols and checklists, reporting results to the engineering team.
- Lab Management: Keep the workshop organized, safe, and fully stocked.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or relevant experience in electronics, mechanics, or RC modeling.
- Excellent manual dexterity with soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly skills.
- Organized and safety-conscious mindset.
- Experience piloting multi-rotor or fixed-wing UAVs (certification is highly valued).
- Strong interest in DIY projects.
- A2 English level minimum.
- Willingness to travel for field testing.
