Leyton CognitX seeks an experienced AI Software Engineer to lead architectural design and development of AI-based technology solutions. Vos missions

  • Design, architect, and develop scalable features and platforms including APIs, business logic, databases, and security infrastructure
  • Lead implementation of complex AI systems in production: RAG pipelines, LLM agent fleets, model fine-tuning and integration with major LLM providers
  • Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies (TDD, unit, integration, e2e, stress tests) to ensure flawless deployments
  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize models and code with robust CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices in cloud environments
  • Act as technical expert with clients, understanding business challenges and defending architectural decisions
  • Support growth and skill development of junior developers and interns through mentoring

Role Overview

As an experienced AI Software Engineer, you will play a driving role within our multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, DevOps engineers, and Consultants. You will be responsible for architectural design, development, and large-scale deployment of AI-based technology solutions for both internal and external clients, tackling complex problems requiring sharp technical decisions and uncompromising engineering rigor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and develop complete, scalable features and platforms including APIs, business logic, databases, and security infrastructure
  • Lead the implementation of complex AI systems in production: advanced RAG pipelines, LLM agent fleets, model fine-tuning and integration with OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source LLMs
  • Champion best practices including SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and design patterns through code reviews and mentoring
  • Define comprehensive testing strategies (TDD, unit, integration, e2e, stress tests) to ensure flawless deployments
  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize models and code in dedicated environments with robust CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices
  • Act as a technical expert with clients, understanding business challenges and defending architectural decisions

Required Technical Expertise

Fundamentals — Full Mastery Expected:

  • System Design & Architecture: Design distributed, scalable, and resilient systems with strong command of architectural trade-offs
  • Data Structures & Algorithms: Solid algorithmic expertise for performance optimization including Big-O analysis and streaming/batch data processing
  • Clean Code & Patterns: Strict application of SOLID principles and mastery of design patterns including microservices and event-driven architectures
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Advanced Docker, orchestration (Kubernetes preferred), GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • APIs & Databases: Design of robust APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) and optimization of relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis, graph databases)

AI & Data — Technical Expertise:

  • LLM Integration & Ops: Advanced API integration, complex prompt engineering, token/cost management, streaming, continuous monitoring and evaluation of models in production
  • RAG & Agent Ecosystem: Proficiency with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom solutions; LangGraph; large-scale Vector Store implementation (FAISS, Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus)
  • Information Retrieval: Solid understanding of search algorithms (TF-IDF, BM25, Cross-Encoders) and search engines like Elasticsearch

Tech Stack (Tech Agnostic): Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Spring, FastAPI/Django, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Vector DBs, AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, Git/CI/CD, LangChain/LlamaIndex, OpenAI API, Elasticsearch, Kafka/RabbitMQ

Candidate Profile

  • Engineering degree or Master's in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Data Science with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record designing, developing, and deploying software solutions integrating AI (Machine Learning, NLP, or GenAI) with measurable business impact
  • Strong problem-solving ability and autonomy to transform vague business needs into solid technical architecture
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage with demanding clients and rally technical teams
  • Insatiable curiosity for the fast-moving AI ecosystem and commitment to continuous learning
