The Role
We are seeking a Data Engineer who thrives at the intersection of backend development and data engineering. You will design and implement robust data infrastructure, manage complex data flows, and optimize big data platforms to support organizational growth and innovation.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure for managing company data aligned with business challenges
- Develop and manage data flows including ingestion, modeling, warehousing, and cleaning using big data technologies
- Analyze source systems to define optimal data management strategies from collection to analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate big data solutions with existing systems
- Optimize and maintain big data platforms for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and security
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 3 years of experience in a similar data engineering role
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with expertise in data modeling
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies: Spark, Airflow, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Neo4J
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
What We're Looking For
You demonstrate intellectual curiosity, initiative, and proactivity. You work autonomously while collaborating effectively with teams. You have proficiency in understanding complex data processing algorithms and mechanisms. Big data certifications are a plus.
