Introduction to the Position

Artefact is looking for Senior Data Engineers to innovate, build, train and communicate with a team made up of consultants, data scientists, creatives and engineers to identify client needs and define innovative solutions.

Your Role

As a Senior Data Engineer at Artefact, you will innovate, build, train and communicate with a multidisciplinary team to identify client needs and define innovative solutions. You will work in a collaborative team which champions knowledge sharing, coach others, keep abreast of industry news and updates, and share your discoveries with others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming in Python including building, testing and releasing code into production
  • Using SQL with exposure working with relational/columnar databases (e.g. BigQuery, SQL Server, Postgres)
  • Using Git and version controlling
  • Learn and find solutions to complex problems
  • Use some of the main cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Eventually using agile software delivery and CI/CD processes
  • Eventually using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform or Airflow

Your Qualifications

Background

3-5 years of experience working as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer

Mindset

  • Curious, always seeking innovative solutions for clients
  • Sharing of knowledge is essential; actively participate in the diffusion of information within Artefact (seminars, training, certifications)
  • Entrepreneurial, bringing solutions and new ideas within your team at Artefact
  • Able to act on the whole value chain of projects (infrastructure and platform creation, data collection, application of machine learning models, REST APIs creation, front-ends, tests, continuous deployments)
  • Strong communication skills; able to popularize technical terms or solutions to more business-oriented profiles and work in a team with diversified profiles
  • Independent in managing your tasks and timelines
