Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer at Mindera, you will be a key member of our data team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure and pipelines that drive our data-driven decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and accessibility of our data assets, enabling our organization to extract actionable insights and deliver high-impact solutions.

Expected traveling time: 0%-15% (national and international, varies by project/client needs).

Main Responsibilities

• Design and build data models to support Data Science, Business Intelligence, and downstream data sets
• Build APIs and data products to better integrate data throughout systems and processes
• Monitor data pipelines and communicate issues to leadership and partners
• Work closely with business partners and developers to document and agree on requirements for initiatives
• Partner with developers and leadership to coordinate cross-functional and cross-team efforts
• Focus on data deliverables for Business and Studio teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a fast-paced environment
• Expert-level proficiency with SQL and SQL-like query languages
• Deep expertise in Python with experience organizing Python-based projects
• Vast experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Extensive experience with ETL and ELT processes
• Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and their services
• Strong understanding of data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault)

Nice to Have

• Experience defining and crafting automated unit and integration testing frameworks for data projects
• Background in Business Intelligence and Business Analysis
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Experience with visualization tools and data governance
• Experience with Snowflake and CI/CD automation using GitLab
• Experience integrating data platforms into observability tools
